Having a lovely weekend

Hope you are too.

I spent Saturday doing yard and house work type stuff, leaving the rest of the long weekend for play.

I rode both days, but the issue with my hip/IT band continues.  So for today’s ride I lowered my saddle a bit just to see how that feels.  On one hand that had my legs all scrunched up.  On the better hand, it had the affect of moving my saddle forward.  I’ve always been a bit stretched out on this bike and have often thought about getting a new seatpost with little or no setback.

So the end result is that I’ve ordered a new post.  If I like it, I’ll post the brand, specs, etc. here.  I’m hoping that it will give me more latitude toward a maximal setup that I’ve been missing.  Right now the saddle is pushed as far forward as possible with out being on the section of the rail that curves up.  With the seatpost lower my position on the saddle is further back and much comfier.  We’ll see if the new post allows me to replicate that without squashed legs and the resulting loss of power.  I don’t have that much power in the frist place so I can’t afford to lose any!
