Testing out the new stuff

My new trunk bag got it’s first test this morning.  In the trunk bag itself I carry a multi-tool, head light, tire levers and a tube permanently.  Lunch was added today.  I used one of the zip out panniers to carry a book, some bank stuff I used Friday, and a pair of shoes.  So thus far, it’s quite successful.

Tomorrow there is a chance of showers, so i’ll be carrying some rain gear too.

That reminds me.  It came with a rain cover which has it’s own little zippered pocket.  The topeak cover was an extra.

The schools here are on “fall break”  for two weeks.  This reduces morning traffic mightily.  So I indulged myself and took the shorter route in this morning.  This involves riding a stretch of Hwy 231 where there are no parallel roads.  On school mornings the buses stopping to pick up children really back up traffic, but today that was no problem.

Have an excellent week.
